Circus Trip

On yet another exciting trip, our students attended a performance at Circus Roncalli, one of the world’s most famous circuses founded in Vienna in 1975, as a childhood dream of the legendary art director Bernhard Paul.

As part of our school’s educational philosophy, we place great emphasis on exposing students to different cultural experiences. Whether through field trips, workshops, or guest speakers, we strive to show students the beauty and diversity of the world around them.

The Roncalli Circus trip was a perfect example of this: this circus is a living testament to how art can adapt with time, blending heritage with innovation. It is also a testament to hard work and dedication of talented artists, musicians, managers, that made this flamboyant happy fairy tale unfold in front of our eyes!

As our students argued, what sets Roncalli apart is its dedication to preserving the charm of the traditional circus while integrating cutting-edge technology, such as the use of holograms in place of live animals. This fusion of old and new provided our students with a glimpse into the evolving nature of performance art, encouraging them to appreciate the history and future of cultural expression. And this very much reminded us of our own school.

This trip not only offered entertainment but also aligned with our goal of nurturing well-rounded individuals who are aware of the global cultural landscape. The students returned with more than just memories of an exciting day; they came back inspired by the creativity, history, innovation, and honest work that make Roncalli Circus such an iconic institution.
