And another exciting museum trip, this time to Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna!
Recently our societies teacher introduced younger students to the KHM’s Egyptian Collection which is among the world’s most important collections of Egyptian antiquities.
There are more than 17 000 objects dated from a period of almost four thousand years, from the Egyptian Predynastic and Early Dynastic periods (ca. 3500 BC) to the early Christian era. Students were especially mesmerized by the portrayals of ancient Egyptian hunts (and tried to replicate them) and the lovely nephrite hippo!
Our societies teacher also told stories from the memorable trip to Egypt their older peers had in January.
At Schloss Krumbach, we strive to take the most out of the cultural heritage we are surrounded with, and proudly show students to the great museums we have in Vienna. Of course, KHM is our long-term museum crush.
Keep calm and learn about mummies!
