On Saturday, SKIS full boarding students enjoyed a very Viennese weekend activity – a ballet performance, Jolanthe und der Nussknacker, at the beautiful Volksoper Wien.

We believe in a knowledgeable approach to cultural learning and are committed to carefully tailoring the extracurricular experiences of our students to the topics and content they have covered in class. Hence, SKIS students came well-prepared, having read about the plot, characters, composers, and the historical context beforehand, which indeed added colors and validity to their perception and understanding of the ballet.

Overall, this was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning, and our students have truly cherished both the performance per se and their time at the theatre in general.
