The final study trip that SKIS has organized prior to the Easter Break was Grade 7’s visit to Barcelona. And what an eventful and unforgettable experience it turned out to be!
Academically, Grade 7 had a perfect opportunity to showcase their knowledge of Spanish history and Reconquista, which they did, having very much impressed the city guide accompanying the group during the sightseeing walk across the historical city center and during the visit to the Park Guell and Sagrada Família. They also tested their understanding of physics and natural phenomena at an interactive and exciting Cosmocaixa museum.
Athletically, Grade 7 won the hearts of the whole Barcelona, confidently parading around the city in Schloss Krumbach International School’s iconic red football uniform. Then they visited the FCB Camp Nou stadium and impressed the Athletico Barcelona football school with their enthusiasm and skills. Don’t we have our own Messis growing?
Finally, there was a real heroic adventure – Grade 7 went on a boat trip, wresting the waves and the wind, and being the real seasoned sailors. But most importantly they proved to be friends and teammates, caring for each other. We are proud of our youngest grade!
Thanks, dear Barcelona, for having us – SKIS will surely come visit you again!
